Fourth of July in Northern Colorado

Summer is nearing, the community pools are opening and 4th of July is right around the corner!  Northern Colorado and the surrounding area have some of the best celebrations in the state.  Whether you are looking to travel on foot or travel by car, there is an event to fit every desire.

Fort Collins is host to a daylong celebration that starts off with a new tradition: A 4th of July parade!  This parade will be along Mountain Avenue in Old Town.  If you feel like getting some exercise before the parade, there is the Firecracker 5K at City Park beginning at 730AM.  As the day moves into the night, the events heat up.  Just after 4 PM, City Park turns into an outdoor concert hall.  Live music will continue through the 9 o’clock hour setting up for the finale, the fireworks show.  Just after 930PM, the day will be capped with a great firework show at City Park.

Loveland’s 4th of July celebration competes right alongside Fort Collin’s.  The Loveland celebration starts out early in the day as well and most events happen at North Lake Park.  At 10 AM, there will be a flag raising ceremony by the Lone Tree School House. After that concludes, the attention shifts back to North Lake Park for an amazing, vintage collection car show.  During the car show, there will be other performances going on including cheer and dance performances.  As the day gets closer to night, the park will feature great musical performances.  As the night concludes, at 917PM, Loveland will end with a 30-minute firework show over Lake Loveland, which hosts one of the state’s best grand finales.

If you want to enjoy some sports teams as part of your 4th of July celebration, the Rockies and the Outlaws hope to not disappoint.  The Colorado Rockies, Colorado’s hometown baseball team, will be hosting the rival Los Angeles Dodgers.  Fireworks will follow the July 3rd and 4th games.  My family and I have personally seen this show and it is another state best.  If you prefer lacrosse instead of baseball, come out and cheer on Colorado’s professional lacrosse team, the Outlaws.  The game will be at Sports Authority Field against the Boston Cannons.  Both of these events will be a blast for all.

So, as 4th of July gets closer, be sure to make plans to celebrate our independence with your family, friends, and neighbors.  Real Property Management of the Rockies wishes you a safe and enjoyable 4th!  If you need property management services in the Northern Colorado area including Fort Collins, Loveland, Timnath, Windsor, Wellington, Johnstown or the surrounding area, we would love to become your trusted property management partner.
